Spell System in Unreal

This is a video of most of the spells I did for the game Citadel Forged With Fire. I’m pretty proud of how they turned out. Basically the system required 6 spell categories (ex. fire, ice, light) and 6 spell types per category. The challenge was making all the effects work both in first person and third person perspectives because the player is able to switch between them at anytime.
I’ve now moved on to become a full time UI artist at Ubisoft so unfortunately VFX stuff won’t be a part of my day to day work. I’m thinking about starting some contract work mostly to maintain my skills and learn new things because I do really enjoy working on this stuff. If anyone knows a place that needs a remote part time VFX artist for unreal let me know.
