Easy Impact Frames for Unreal Engine and Unity

Hey there! I’m Lush :gem:

Just created this Easy Impact Frames tool for Unreal Engine (and Unity but it might take a couple extra days to release).

The inspiration for this free pack came while searching through the forums and I found both a VFX done by @MascoFX:

and this shader by @Kashaar:

Then, I adjusted and modified it to include a couple extra new features, such as a radial shockwave, LUTs, coloring, inversion, contrast, boost, panning, blending and other parameters that are fully customizable.

This is the master material:

The Niagara System is really simple. Just 1 GPU emitter.

It has a couple User Exposed parameters such as Color Curve and Lifetime.

And it also has a Dynamic Material Parameters module with 7 different curve controls ready.

I also made this Blueprint which is an Impact Frame Selector Spawner Manager, to easily select and test out your custom Impact Frames, and to also control the looping, extra eye-candy effects, and camera shakes.

The tool is really easy to use. You just drag and drop a Niagara System into the scene and that’s it. You can also spawn it via BP however you want.

Easily and quickly create a lot of variations!

This was the first version of the Impact Frame. Pretty neat, but still a bit rough. There was a bit of stepping due to the Quantize Radius parameter, but I feel like this one looks dope that way too. The blockiness gives it that “Sakuga” feel.

Here’s a version using the latest build. You can see the extra eye-candy VFX, and the lines are much smoother overall as it’s bypassing the Quantize feature.

And here’s a version with color variations, similar to the latest episode aired of One Piece as of today, Ep 1155, with イム like Haki tones.

I’m really happy of how this turned out to be hehehe

Enjoy the asset and create some cool anime scenes!

Thank you for the inspiration, keep up sharing your ideas so we can create cooler VFX together :sparkles:
