Hey everyone, two good news in a row !
- We just released a new version of TFlow which allows you to bake motion blur from your flipbook.
- TFlow is currently at 50% off !
Here’s an example of the process.
Hey everyone, two good news in a row !
Here’s an example of the process.
Here’s another use case for TFlow !
Doesn’t need to only apply on pyrotechnics 🦇😉
TFlow is still at 50% off !

Here’s another example with nice smoke plumes and how TFlow can increase motion quality even with a lower frame count.

Thanks to -=HACKMANS=- for sharing this very cool fire !

Here’s another example of TFlow in action, use it to add smooth interpolation to any texture in one click !

You can find all the previous examples and see how simple the workflow is.
Hello Matt - I have some questions about the ability for tflow shader to interface with unitys Particle system (Shuriken) specifically the SpriteSheet module
will the graph operate on this shader?
I can have 3 smoke plumes and it can pick random rows
will variable lifetimes on the particle itself work incase I need variable lifetimes on particles from 1 system
finally is tFlow able to be passed through shadergraph incase I needed to apply the entire effect to a mesh object (a dot product ->) e.g. mat cap?
Hey Torbach,
Thanks for your question.
In the package, you will find several nodes (Amplify and Shader Graph) and examples (VFX Graph, Particle system).
Those examples will show you on how to use motion vectors and can help you build your own specific shader based on the data you have access and you can provide to the materials.
Also I just made a quick test with Single Row and Random Row mode and it works well.
If you want to do more custom flipbook animation, you would just have to create another shader similar to the screenshot and change the OpticalFlowUVAnimation node to handle your own way of animating. Then provide the resulted current and next frame in addition to the blending factor.
TFLOW FOR UNREAL ENGINE
At Tuatara, we are super happy to announce the release of TFlow for Unreal Engine.
It is supported on UE 4.26, 4.27 and 5.0 !

We wrote a new documentation for TFlow! We switched from Google Docs to Notion. It’s so much easier to find your way in the docs. Tell us what you think
Right now, TFlow UE is 50% off until the end of the week, get it here.
On the Unity side, v1.3.0 was just released! Get it here.
Great tool! /me loves it!
I noticed that I cant scale the TFlow interface on my end.
My fellow vfx-ians don’t use 4k screens and its not affecting them, so might be something to do with that.
(4k res, 150% scale)
Thanks!
Yes sorry about that, TFlow like many other UE tools does not work well in 4K. I sent you a private message, we’ll see how we can fix this
Version 1.2.1 is now available on the marketplace!
Fixed
Added
@Luos_83 that should fix the scaling issues you were having
Whoo! thanks
We just released an update, TFlow is now available on Unreal Engine 5.3.
Hi, I already purchased the Unreal TFlow plugin. I just wonder if you have an 3rd party app so I can just drop the flipbook, generate and preview it outside instead of opening the project?
