Niagara Ribbon Breaks when Facing Different Directions

Hi,

after we have updated our project to 5.4 I have noticed that the ribbon effect I have been using for muzzle smoke trails acts weird on our world map.

On one axis everything looks correct but when I look 90 degrees to either side, the ribbon trail effect starts acting up.

Here is an example using debug texture

When set to local space the ribbon works correctly on 360 degree rotation but cannot serve its purpose since it’s not trailing. I have tried fiddling with ribbon facing and position (using for example transform vector) to no avail.

I don’t know if the issue is a result of the engine upgrade or someone changing whatever setting specifically for our world map (the ribbon works properly on our editor_default map). I have tried to do some comparisons of the settings between maps but we are using a lot of custom made stuff which makes it difficult to locate the differences.

I have not been able to find anything similar on the web (maybe I just don’t know how to properly form the question - see the title) and would really appreciate any advice. Just pointing me in the right direction would be nice since I am at a loss here, not knowing what to actually look for. Thank you.

In case someone runs into this, somewhat counter intuitively (I believe), disabling the support for large world coordinates in the project settings fixed the issue.
