Dont matter where and how me naming my mesh in Maya, in unity its “default” - please help
If you want the name to follow be sure to name your asset in the attribute editor, normally the shape name should switch to MeshNameShape then export your fbx with file export selection while your mesh is selected, then in unity select the folder where you want it, then in the asset menu use import new asset , it should keep the name you gave it in maya.
