I’m trying to create a Holo-Map FX in UE (shown in the screenshot) and right now I’m editing the material for the map. It’s a mesh generated with Heightfields in Houdini.
The thing I want is now to make the contour lines have dynamic widths. Not per-line but non-uniform, organic contour thickness. I’ve tried a couple of methods but I can’t get them to work. I’ve uploaded my material graph also. Does anyone have an idea of what to do achieve that?
I actually got around it and finished the effect yesterday :).
But yes, as for your question, I’m sorry if it wasn’t clear. It’s like this, the contour lines span from the bottom to top on the world Z. And right now it’s maintaining a uniform distance/spacing between the contour lines. So what I wanted was, if we take 2 contour lines for example, I want the spacing between them to vary as it goes around the heights. Like wiggly lines.
