Emilio Villar : Sketch #12

Hi RTVFX comunity,

This is my first post here, and I love starting it with this Tornado FX post.

Everything was created using Unity 3D, the twister is a base mesh fbx static, using a cloud shader I wrote a few days ago. If you want give the shader a try, follow the white link Cloud Shader Recipe

The noise textures used for the tornado FX are from Luos’s Free Noise Textures FX. Added dust and flying debris particles with basic materials.

The clouds on the bottom and the flying debris are really on point. Wonder if you also tackle the transition with the sky.

There is no transition with the sky in this interaction, I just focus on the tornado and the particles only. Maybe at some point could retake the project and create a complete scene with a tornado destroying some buildings.
