Hiya! Been a while but wanted to take part in the sketch 
Here is a WIP of my shield effect:
There are still a few things I wanna change. The initial start up needs some more umfp so I want to create a bit of a smoke impact to show this as well as have some dust swirl at the bottom to hide intersections a bit.
Learned all these great techniques from @Nibili (Gabi) and made my own thing from it
