Vote for the best real-time VFX of 2022!

Hey everybody! Beyond-FX is kicking off our 2nd annual BFX Game Awards, celebrating VFX in games released in 2022 and we need your help! We have 6 categories this year:

  1. Best Real-Time VFX
  2. Best Stylized VFX
  3. Best Realistic VFX
  4. Best Weapon VFX
  5. Most Innovative VFX In A Game
  6. Best Environmental/Ambient VFX

We want to hear the community’s nominees for each category! Which games should be in the running? Whose VFX reigned supreme?

Let us know in the comments & help us select which games will be our nominees for the next round of voting!

Are those nominations for single specific effects, or game’s overall effects?

A game’s overall effects! We’re looking for a game to be nominated for each category

  1. Elden Ring
  2. Genshin Impact
  3. CoD MW2
  4. CoD MW2
  5. Rogue Legacy 2
  6. Elden Ring

Overall hard to decide since there are a ton of games, but these are based on my experience <3

Not sure if this is allowed but I need to mention this game:

  1. ???
  2. V Rising
  3. ???
  4. ???
  5. HYPER DEMON
  6. ???

I might update the rest later because I’ll need to take some time to look back to all the games I’ve played and make sure they’re from 2022

We all know that best references for Stylized VFX are in Genshin Impact. I play this game because of beautiful effects

But isn’t that game from a couple years ago?

For Best Stylized VFX, It is obviously “Genshin Impact” . Now a days it’s becoming more beautiful and artistic.

I’ll add my picks as well

Best Stylized VFX
Kirby and the Forgotten Land (nails the cuteness)
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet (very nice sparkles)

Best Real-Time VFX
Elden Ring (Keep going back to their spell effects)

Most Innovative VFX In A Game
Ghostwire : Tokyo (maybe slightly biased because they have a lot of particles)

I’d love to add to the list, but I’ve only played a few games this year, and the only ones I played that had remarkable VFX were God of War: Ragnarok, FF7r Intergrade, and Cyberpunk.

My backlog is so big, that by the time I played new releases, they are generally a few years old XD

The VFX in《Need For Speed:Unbound》make an impression. I think it’s the Best Stylized VFX I’ve ever seen in this year!
