Unity VFX Graph mesh output alpha treshold doesn't work

I don’t know if this is the right place to post but I posted this on unity forums but no replies still, I see that people post problems here aswell and I want to try my luck.

Here you can see my setup. I don’t understand why the alpha treshold doesn’t do anything. I tried every blending mode and changing the alpha treshold value doesn’t change anything. This is only a test for something larger, but this part is very important, I want to have a dissolve effect on that particle.

My unity version is 2019.3.7f1 and VFXGraph version is 7.1.8

I’ve been using the unlit material instead of the VEM and it seems to work. Please tell me if I’m doing it wrong.imageIt seems to slot in and work.
