This is very cool! (no pun intended)
this is my suggestion

  • keep some of your sharp shape inside the funnel
  • vary color width and taper to give the viewer eye a reason to look up and down
  • makes the tunnel softer at top with wide edging,
  • tighter at the bottom is the sharp edge-quality
  • contrast helps give a focal point
