In fact, this is a very simple and clear example of how you can make it beautiful without putting in much effort and without making AAA quality. There are key points that you should pay attention to. The person who made the effect just followed some rules that you can see in real life. When you simply transfer the basic rules from real life to the effect, it is easy to believe in it.
He made a clear form.
Added small highlights that you can see on the water.
Added a simple and clear color of water for everyone.
Sooooo, in the last week i was following the videolesson and i wanted to try to make a vfx on my own, if i can use the things that i learn, and the result is this:
I like how it came out, because before the videolesson i tried to do some vfx and it was… awful! This was only a test to see my “skill” right now and take a break with the lesson.
ALSO, i tried to fix the water pipe vfx and look like this:
I tried many things but if i check false the nanite module inside the mesh the vfx look “right”, idk if this is a bad things or a good one but i thinks this look decent (better than the last i do)
I was annoyed again with the videolesson so i made another Vfx taking inspiration from some concept on pinterest, and this is the result:
I really like how did it come out.
Have a nice day i will continue my lesson now ( i’m bored by the lesson because he is still teaching the basic btw)
So far, the black hole phase has come out really well, and I like the result… unlike the second part… I really like how the white ray and the particles came out, but everything else… meh, definitely needs improvement, especially the ribbons at the back. I just don’t know how to do it with my current skills, so it’s a project I’m putting aside until I finish the video lessons i have bought. If you have any suggestions, I’m all ears. Thanks for reading <3
In the last few video lessons I’ve watched, the Niagara module was explained to me. I don’t fully understand it, and it’ll be a long time before I can learn and use it on my own.
One Niagara module he did show me, however, was the “get leader ID” module, which takes the position of the main VFX almost perfectly.
I wanted to put it into practice on this VFX below. Obviously, aesthetically speaking, there’s a lot of room for improvement, but my main goal was to put what I’ve learned into practice.
