I just started to mess around with VFX and really want to see how you managed to do that “curvy” trails. Can you do a breakdown?
Sure! I am using particles that have orbital and radial velocities. The bright tips are the particles. Then I use the trail node for the trails.
For the trail to go to the sphere I use an external force and then I have a force field setup like this:

For todays update I added some anticipation. Mostly working on absorbing energy before firing the projectiles. Next step will be to add some impacts on the sphere that’s being hit.
