Improved my old effect

Last sword is another skill that can be used during 1 second after main activation.
I also planed to draw all icons for these skills

Now I will show u how to make this trail texture

  1. Simple lines
  2. Add distortion in movement
  3. Standard noise * main texture
  4. Posterize effect
  5. Add new line + blur * noise
  6. Posterize main layer + add noise
  7. Add blurred(in movement) line in the middle

    That’s all!:wink:

I made smooth appearing + added clock hands

It was hard, but it’s not the end

The main idea was quite different (with trails)


And yes, I draw sketches not so good as another VFX artists, but I do it for myself :yum:

Realistic ice sword with custom shaders. I was too lazy to make ice spikes and I created them procedurally in a blender in 1 minute.

Hmmm, I need to decrease white-pink emission in the crater or make it darker

This is looking great!

Since it’s a burning meteor shower, having an additional element based on the fire aspect might help tie it in even more upon impact.

One suggestion might be to add an additional fiery/explosive radial burst on impact (unless there’s already one that the GIF isn’t capturing); the distortion looks and works nicely, so something contained within that since it’s already looking cool :wink:
