Remade the last muzzle with a bit of information I took from Wondering how good muzzle flashes are made - Real Time VFX
- Made 8 muzzles to use on a sprite sheet so that every time it fires it’s a random texture that is being used.
- Added shells being ejected from the gun.
- Improved the overall aesthetic by adjusting timing and a bit of color values.
All the muzzle textures that I made aren’t very realistic even though that’s what I needed initially. I don’t have a problem creating stylized ones but realistic ones I struggle a bit because how organic they look. My next upload will probably be when I figure out how to make a realistic muzzle texture like these:
