The frostbite vfx editor recently got splines, but they are hardly ever used as they are comparatively expensive, and not needed most of the time. Four point polynomials ftw!
I’m all for compressing the splines down to very small lookup tables. But when you need to define a curve with weighted bezier, that’s just how it is. These bumpy slopes are terrible.
