After updating Unreal to 5.6, when moving timeline in Niagara preview window is flickering. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Unfortunately this is true for me as well. You may file a formal bug report, although given that if you allow it to play itself instead of dragging the timeline manually, it plays back without flicker (true for whatever playback speed or framerate), I wouldn’t have much hope in Epic to fix this anytime soon.
I’ve recently picked up UE Niagara and started with version 5.5. Recently I updated my project to 5.6 and am having the same issue.
Sad to see there has not been a fix for this so far 3 months later.
Try activating Determinism in your Emitter Properties. The flickering comes from scrolling backwards. It has to recalculate the system to that point since its a random event.
Enabling Determinism would not fix the preview flicker in 5.6, but it is fixed in 5.7.
