Is this effect using a cylinder mesh?

My guesses are:
- Layered cylindrical mesh with paper alpha texture , and a shader that pan over the cylinder from top to bottom to gradually show the ‘wave of paper’.
- A system that moves downward and constantly emits paper quads that is set to orbit around a certain axis.
- A system that moves downward and constantly emits layered rotating cylindrical rings with paper texture.
Base on how uniform it is, my guess is that it is the No. 1 method with cylinders and panning shader.

I think I’ll get a good result if I improve it a little bit
