Spyro : Sketch #12

#1

Hello !

TornadoRevamped_Opti_2

I’m so sorry for my late submission, I’ll really try to post more often and earlier for the next sketch.

So, here is my tornado ! I reworked and revamped an old shader that I used to make some realistic project at the beginning of the year. Here is the result ! :

Basically, the tornado is composed of simple meshes, & I used one shader that allows me to tweak several parameters and make things more “random”.

I tried to mix realistic & stylized textures, like a sharp dissolve and a glowing core.
In the process, I gave my noises some density by adding some kind of dithering to them :

Also, here is an old gif from the first version of this tornado (sorry, bad compression and quality gif  )

I was really inspired by the storm in Life is Strange, it’s my main reference^^
Anyways, thank you all for reading ! Any feedback is apreciated, and I hope you liked my little tornado
GL HF everyone !

I have never used houdini but i would like to know how to achieve this affect in ue4
