The SideFX GDC 2017 presentations are live. There’s a bunch of cool stuff related to vfx including @Partikel Volume to Mesh workflow and some stuff from Mafia 3.
I’ve found some obvious but interesting behaviors when you spawn sims as a mesh in a particle system.
-You can’t spawn it anywhere. The location module doesn’t shift it because it gets its info from the object. Possibly fixable.
-Velocity works for orientation, but not actual velocity. Again, it’s because of the object offset.
-orbit, lols no.
-scale works fine
-use a dynamic param for time
