Rope Physics

Does anyone have a good resources on creating a rope physics inside UE? Or should that be something that is done in a different DCC and brought into UE?


Depends on your requirements. Whether or not it’s mostly for visuals or also used for gameplay.
There is multiple ways of doing this in UE.
-The cable component
-A rigged skelmesh with actual physics/cloth
-Niagara (there is an example with a chain in the content examples)

Thanks Tobias. I have seen a few of these but not all. I willl check them out. I think it may have to start in another DCC then imported into UE.
