Hey guys!

It’s time for me to finally start my own sketchbook. I hope you will find something interesting down the line in this thread and looking forward to learn much from your comments :smiley:

For starters, i’ve started working on some watery fx. They are still wip and I’m not fully satisfied with them so I’m glad to hear some feedback on what to improve :smiley:

Water projectile:

The water shield is looking great, the only think I would suggest is to conceal a little bit more the edges since they look flat:

And in the case of the tornado, the base is very cool, but I don’t think the water texture of the tornado fits it, it looks more like the surface of a still pool or pond than a fiery tornado. Also at the connection between the spinning effect of the base and the spinning tornado it looks like they are rotating in different directions, which imho might break the flow of the animation.

I fixed the tornado a bit. It’s better, but still needs some adjustments:

I’m not sure how to fix the issue with the shield. I Curved the mesh a bit, but can still see the edge:
