I have a ribbon trail in world space that i set up using a tutorial by Royal Skies on my first person character and it technically works fine, but the character can move while attacking so the trail often gets left behind during attacks. Id like to have follow the movement of the character while also retaining the trail look from following the attack motion, as i understand it, setting my emitter to local space is the way to do this but when i do, the closest ive come to success is a ribbon spawning between the trail sockets every frame as its set to do but it doesnt trail behind, or the trail looks correct but with its orientation and position completely wrong, can anyone suggest a way to do this?
