Need help with a tornado mesh

Hey guys, i have been searching for an answer to this problem for hours now and i don’t seems to find anything helpful, i have some weird artefacts depending on my viewing angles on this mesh, it seems like the normals of my edges are quite bugged, this also appears a little in blender.

I am using an alphablend shader which is showing only the front face of my mesh, but this seems to do that with additive and no culling too. i thought about going for a non transparent shader which should solve this bug but that’s not really what i am going for, does anyone know how to solve that ? :grin:

oh and yes i used shade smooth for the normal and even smoothed the mesh, didn’t work :upside_down_face:

I think your triangles are too stretched, Like the left mesh here.


Just a quick example, but if you make your topology more “square” and less rectangular you will have less artifacts. :slight_smile:
