Losing video quality when exporting reel from sequencer

Hi, I have just completed my portfolio. I am satisfied with the final result but after exporting I noticed the video quality is a bit grainy and the colors slightly desaturated, which I don’t like. I have exported my videos at 60fps and 1920x1080 as png and reassembled it in DaVinci Resolve using the Youtube 1080 standard settings. Has anyone any idea how I can solve this problem? After working extra hard on getting the results I wanted it’s very frustrating to find myself with a low-quality export. Thanks.

If it’s a png sequence you should be able to check the individual frames.

Are those frames low quality?
if so, maybe try looking in the sequencer export setting for an encoding quality or encoding speed setting

If those frames are high quality check davinci import settings, it might be trying to import in a different format or make some assumption about the kind of images it’s importing that’s incorrect

Hi, thanks for your reply. The PNGs look fine after importing in DaVinci. They look bad after rendering. Just to give you an idea:

Found the culprit. Used Custom Export and unchecked “Restrict to: … Kb/s”. Obviously the file size is much larger now. Hopefully it won’t take too long to buffer . Thanks
