Looking for help on my boat wake

Im making a wake for a big boat, I’ve been trying and trying but I just cant get a really nice result.

Right now its a mesh trail which I’ve seen used in grass/snow shaders that leaves a trail.

Issues with this is I lose distance to field option on the sea shader because its used for this. so no outlines for objects/boat in the water.

I gotta choose either fade the edges properly and lose density in the trail or fade it less and the density increases.

Overall I just dont like this approach, there is a bit more to it. If you are intrested or want to see anything else that may help send a message.

Im looking for another solution, I don’t like this wake and I’d much rather have stuff interract with the water whilst not fully faking it like this.

Every tip is welcome, approaches resources ive missed let me know!

If you are comfortable with grid 2d in niagara, you can make nice realistic shallow water simulations. It will provide nice looking wake too.
