Pixelated transition effect. It was kinda amusing making this effect, I got references from the movie PIXELS (2015).

I’m doing R&D on masking and texturing to create aura effect. This one is referenced from soldiers in Solo-Leveling.

Any insights on how you’re keeping the aura close to the body surface of the character?
Is it the skeletal mesh duplicated with a material that has offset * vertex normals direction as an offset?
Thanks! The aura is actually in screen space. Just think of it as a postprocess effect, and I use a cube mesh as the mediator to apply that effect on the object.

And are you using a stencil mask of the character to get the aura applied only on his body?
Yup, that’s exactly it. There’s a thread I brought this up as well.
