Thanks, Real-Time FX and JangeFX for this opportunity to take part in this competition. I was happy to work in EmberGen and generate different fluid simulations in literally real-time. I will test this tool further and hope to understand it better, but EmberGen already works super cool.

Also, this is the start of my Unreal Engine way and I have learned a lot of things during this competition. I really like the experience that I’ve got while working on this task. Thank you, guys, this event was awesome!

The idea is to make kinda falling meteor, like those ones we can see in Warcraft.

As a location I’m using Dead Hills Landscape v2.0.

Plans:
• meteor flies through the clouds
• meteor falling and burst
• we see an unusual block of stone (artifact) at the place of the explosion.

Reality:
• I done only falling meteor. No artifact

Added:
• shards
• smoke trails (follows shards).

I have changed Spawn from “Burst” to “Rate”. Burst became more vertically stretched.

Now it is more angled. Remember, we drop the meteor? It will hit the ground at an angle, so shards should move forward – according to the meteor movement.
