I want to make a smoke for a monster as if it were a constant trail from his nose

I have created a trail in unity, but I don’t know if making a trail would be the right thing to do for the smoke. I haven’t rigged the monster model yet and I don’t know if it would be better to make a mesh and animate it. I would like to get a result that would affect it like gravity (being a smoke), if it runs it would leave a trail and if it stays still it would make a slight zig zag.

use particles ribbon. so that there are no jumps and zigzags, use a more detailed mesh
