I will make realistic water splash, nothing else. I will start with water simulation in 3ds Max and then make sprites. I will use the same technique as in my private tutorials, but I won’t do any side glow in Photoshop like in my tutorials.

Now I need to add stretched billboard water sprites.
Made a couple of sprites with Normal maps for water refraction.
In my case water refraction value will be 1.33
Really, the effect is great.
