What is the best way to create the effect that gold cosmic energy swirls from the Eternals movie?
The most straight forward way would be to model thin mesh strips in the shape of the swirls, and then pan a texture along the UVs from one end of the meshes (outer) to the other end (inner, going into the character).
There’s probably a way to set up lead particles and attach trails to them and have them converge on the character, but that would probably take a more technical setup.
