Direct monitoring with a green screen?

Hello everyone,

I hope I’m not off topic and posting in the right section, sorry in advance if I wasn’t.

For the purposes of a shoot, I need to change the landscape seen behind the glass of a large picture window. To do this, I’m going to place a green background behind the glass and then inlay the desired landscape in post production. However, given that this camera shot is mobile, I’ll need to track the original camera movement, so that the inlaid landscape behind the window moves in a manner consistent with the movement.

I can pretty much see how I’ll have to do that, but my problem is that I don’t know (and haven’t found on the Internet) how to visualize the inlay rendering live on my monitoring screens at the time of shooting (so that I can make live lighting modifications, for example).

I’ve already seen in some backstage videos that they have such a feature.

Would you know how to do it?

Thanks in advance for your help! I’m also interested in any tips you might have for this kind of effect

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hey mateo32705,

This is a forum dedicated to (mainly) particle effects for video games. The name is the same - “VFX” but it has a much more narrow definition in games, so you’ll be hard pressed to find someone knowledgeable about movie footage here.

oh ok sorry, thanks for your response !
