I’m Daniele, a real-time VFX artist.
I worked on The Lonesome Guild at Tiny Bull Studios, focusing mostly on stylized effects, sometimes subtle, sometimes weird.
I’ll be sharing some of the VFX I created for the project here over time.
Happy to be part of this community and see what everyone’s working on!
This was my first experience as a real-time VFX artist, and I started the project as a junior.
It’s been a huge learning journey, we were only two VFX artists with the same level of experience, so there was a lot to handle, but also a lot of space to grow.
I owe a lot to the design and concept teams for helping me understand how to collaborate across departments and for sharing knowledge that really improved my work.
You can probably notice my progression through the different effects.
Unfortunately, I can’t show some of the ones I’m most proud of yet, since they’d spoil key parts of the game.
I’ll be posting many more effects soon — from enemies to environments and a few bosses too I hope.
In this videos I’ve made the iridescent liquid shader, it is called Theutis blood, some foam vfx in the edges and some fog. Eunymonia is a dark and rainy town and I really love the concept.
