World of Warcraft VFX recreation with UE4

I have recreated the paladin consecration spell from World of Warcraft. I found this practice really fun and interesting. I added a cast time and some new concepts to the original spell, like the lightning.

I used in-game references and concepts from Hearthstone and Diablo 3’s Crusader for the effect.

The ground cracks are just a Parallax Occlusion Mapping shader with a heightmap done with Substance Designer. There are baked fluid simulations using FluidNinja for UE4 and everything comes together with Niagara particle systems.
