Super unsure of this piece tbh and want some feedback on it no matter how harsh.

Hmmm, I think there’s very little sense of physicality.
for example
- Bright things should glow and have flares, they should cast light onto nearby surfaces.
- Moving things should probably have some indicator of motion like blur.Or speed lines if you’re going for a more cartoon style
- Phenomena like lightning tend to have a source don’t just have them come out of nowhere.
Magenta + green is also a difficult combination to pull off convincingly, it might be better to pick one color/ a smaller hue range.

A similar thing is going on with the main burst
- Brights interact with the camera, so glow, bloom, glare etc.
- Bright things cast light on their environment
- Also if you want to do impact lines, it’s better if the center of them is at the center of power, which would be the beam, not some random point off to the bottom left

I do like the animation and the timing of the whole thing, it feels very satisfying when the beam finally comes out, and it has a justified level of power. Camera shake is used to emphasize the moment which makes sense if a big laser goes off right next to you.
