First post on here, hopefully one of many!
Sadly didn’t find the time to completely finish this effect, but wanted to share my results nonetheless. (The shader graph is shown in the video.)
It’s a simple shader on a billboard. Went with distorting the UV’s with gradients and the soft circle texture.
Used a bunch of sines with different offsets to generate as much seeming ‘randomness’ to it.
My next step would’ve been to try and add more ‘smaller’ distortions to it, to scale up the flame. But this base does it’s job as a nice candleflame.
