Robbie Howe - Sketchbook

Hi everyone! I’ve been a software developer for ~10 years now mostly working in web but with a few contract gigs in Unity and Unreal, I’m now trying to make more of a full transition into technical art specialising in shaders and VFX. I’ve just enrolled in an Unreal VFX bootcamp so thought it was about time to make my own little sketchbook! I’ve only tried out a couple of effects on my own but will be making more as part of the bootcamp.

My favourite effect so far is the Sandevistan Character Trail inspired by the Cyberpunk Edgerunners show.

Another effect I liked was recreating a version of the bubble shield from Halo 3.
