Looking for:
Lead Environment Artist (Unreal Engine 5.5) as a project partner. We’re looking for a Senior / Lead Environment Artist who will audit our current world-building assets and pipeline, define the work-plan for themselves and a second artist, and then drive that plan to completion.
Our talent:
We’re a small two-person indie team. My main craft is audio—sound design, music, dialogue—while I also manage coding, narrative and production. My teammate is blocking out the world. We now need a second environment artist to flesh out and detail the game’s environments.
Project:
A first-person, linear narrative adventure in Unreal Engine 5.5. Set on an 1890s North-Sea island, it features low-poly visuals, immersive audio, and environmental storytelling. Roughly two hours long, combat-free, focused on mood and exploration.
Responsibilities
Review & plan. Look at our current map and assets, then draft a simple task list for yourself + one more artist
Build. Place and polish 3D assets in Unreal 5.5, keeping the look and feel consistent
Requirements

UE4/5 level-building skills (asset placement, landscape/foliage, basic lighting)

Proven example of a large/mid or multi-zone level you planned and built (portfolio, mod, jam еtс.)

Able to break big tasks into small-sized steps and explain them clearly

Reliability, punctuality, and regular project commits
