for the future / stretch goals working out ways to hide geometry edges like the orb or floor ring
I usually brute force this by hand since they allow you to animate them separately for overlapping motion rather than post-process glow
- beefy glow rings & dots to flare things and add residual fades
- also Fresnel on geo to soften edges is a fair use case (helps hide facets)
- vertex color to feather your geo, also a strong option (also helps hide facets)
