I created a simple sprite burst inspired by Kisong Lee’s class on Coloso. This was a great learning experience for me, especially in understanding how other people think of sprite animation and particle effects.

Looks crunchy, Looks great!! I like the subtle fresnel and electricity on the character after the burst, make for a nice fade out.
