Instructor of 3D Modeling and Environment Building

The School of Communications at Webster University invites applications for a faculty position requiring expertise and experience in 3D modeling and environment building, producing digital assets for game design, animation, virtual cinema production, or other applications. This new colleague would join us in our newly remodeled and equipped state-of-the-art facility, including an LED video wall and virtual cinema technology, digital animation and game design labs, as well as material workshops, and will bring their experience and expertise to new courses and activities in our Animation, Game Design, Interactive Digital Media, and/or Film, Television, & Video Production programs.

The School of Communications at Webster University prepares students to excel as skilled professionals in the global field of communications. We provide theory and practice in media courses framed within a liberal arts-based curriculum, augmented by personalized mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Fifteen distinct majors are available at the undergraduate level and master’s degrees in five diverse fields of communications. We offer communications programs and course work on the Webster campuses in Geneva, Vienna, Leiden, Ghana, Athens, and our newest campus in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as well as in Saint Louis and online.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses as appropriate, advise students, provide faculty service, and engage in professional development, including scholarship and creative activity. We are seeking a colleague whose experience and expertise complements that of our existing faculty, who brings new perspectives to discussions of curriculum revision and strategic planning.
