About the material and geometry, just above I showed an example of how I made the geometry for the ice, if you pay attention, at the end I add color to the geometry using a node in Houdini that calculates the curvature and then I use blur.
This is a natural way to make these places more “transparent” but of course this is a fake that conveys the impression that the edges of the ice are more transparent.
In the material I add vertex color to the subsurface and also add soft noise that moves along the crystal creating a soft light inside, for the UV I used the triplanar technique, although I have a general UV on the geometry.

Yes it is really a good mechanism with Attribute Reader and you can do a lot of things with it
