I think it’s very fast. Need more frames for that i think. Like 0.4-0.5 of lifetime. And maybe dissolve it in custom data for good looking at lightning bolt and it’s fading.
And in impact i think here is just spawn of all of this stuff like sparkles, stones, smoke. Need some delay for element like stones or sparkles for good shape and timing.
As example - your shape of impact looks like one big shape of something. Maybe there is a reason for change timing of spawn of all of that elements. You can try)

One man asked me to show how I make this texture:
- Gradient with waves
- Repeat x2
- Copy(darker mode) + move
- Eraser + enlarge
- Repeat all 1 time
- Polar coordinates
- Copy texture + waves + copy + blur
- Copy(linear add) + distortion inside + finger tool
