[HIRING] Senior Technical/VFX Artist [In Person Preferred, Remote Maybe OK]

:video_game: Triumph Games: Senior VFX Artist (Card Pack Rips)

We’re the 1 gaming app on iOS, and we’re hiring a senior VFX artist to own our card pack opening experiences. Rips is a new category we’re inventing in real time. You’d be the person defining what it feels like.

You’d also be the first dedicated game artist on the team. We have a platform/UI artist, but this role owns the game craft side. No creative director above you, no design by committee.

What you’d actually be doing:

  • Owning the card pack opening experience: design, animation, the full feel of the rip
  • Making rare pulls feel rare and big wins feel huge
  • Other games art work when it comes up

What we’re working on:

  • Card pack rips (the core focus)
  • Live ops drops and seasonal content

The setup:

  • Small team, fast iteration, real creative ownership
  • Full time, in person at our San Francisco office
  • W2 with equity in a fast growing company

Looking for:

  • Senior VFX and product animation chops. You’ve shipped big win moments, gacha pulls, or other high impact reveal experiences. Reel matters more than résumé.
  • Strong instinct for timing, anticipation, and game feel
  • Fluent with particles, lighting, motion, and how they layer
  • We have a custom tech stack. If you’re senior in Unity, Spine, After Effects, Rive, or similar, you’ll pick it up.
  • Using AI as a tool (not a crutch) is a plus
  • Interest in growing into a lead role and building out the vfx art team over time
