Why you want to be a VFX artist at Chief Rebel
We create games with stylized art. So as a VFX artist, you will be responsible for crafting stylized VFX that will elevate our game and establish its strong visual identity. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our game is visually appealing and delivers an unforgettable playing experience. Being part of a smaller team makes the feedback and communication loops fast and efficient. For us, VFX is about doing an impact, and it should be easy for you to do so.
About the role
This is not an entry-level position. You will be Working closely with fellow VFX Artists, Game Directors, Animation team, and Character Artists, and, you will set the bar for what exceptional gameplay VFX should look like. Your artistry will encompass everything from art fundamentals, including Timing, Anticipation, Impact, Composition, Lighting, Material, Silhouette, and Color. The team that you will be a part of is very focused on sharing knowledge and strives to reach the end goal of making great games. That is what it boils down to, making great games.
As mentioned before, This is not an entry-level position. You need professional experience in the video game industry or other relevant fields. Your deep understanding of game VFX and how they enhance gameplay will be key to succeeding in this role.
Proficiency in current-generation industry VFX tools and workflows is a must. You’ll need to balance details to create the perfect visual impact for a top-down camera view. In addition, we’re seeking someone who is open to mentoring other VFX artists.
