My name is Gareth Richards and I was born in the United Kingdom in a small town called Warrington.

From an early age I’ve always had a passion for art and video games. As a kid I spent all of my time sat inside a dark, smelly room with the curtains closed playing the latest video games in awe.

Once I finished school, I went onto college to study a qualification in IT which continued my interest in games and naturally led me to study a Foundation Degree in Computer Game Production at Liverpool John Moore’s University. This is where my career began, the course allowed me to evolve and hone my artistic skills in 3D software.

I got my first break into the games industry when I joined EA Warrington working on an 'unannounced project'. This role was the perfect introduction to game development, everything around me such as the studio culture, the creative people I worked with and the ones that I aspired to be like fuelled and reinforced to me that this is the industry I wanted to work in.

I have never looked back since my first day in the industry. I push myself to continuously develop my skills and knowledge in an ever developing industry. Working hard to actively progress in my career using my passion for art and games as the driving force.

Along my journey so far, I have been fortunate enough to have worked on many AAA titles for industry leading companies spanning across a variety of genres including First Person Shooters, 3rd Person Shooters, Racing, Mobile and Indie titles.
